Many long-term health issues as well as deaths could be prevented in the Sub-Saharan with the most basic training of First-Aid techniques. First aid training is recognized as an inexpensive way to save lives. However, First-Aid training in Sub-Saharan Africa is often based on materials and courses prepared outside of the continent that are not adapted to the African context.
We are currently raising funds to develop and distribute a training curriculum that is specifically suited to the region. In addition to producing videos and printed materials, we are looking to provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) mannequins and training as well as Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to locations where they are most needed.
We would also be very grateful for the donation of any of the afore mentioned used equipment.
